I am Dr Vidyadhara S from Udupi. I have recently joined the Manipal Health Services, Bangalore as the Consultant Spine Surgeon. I am based at MHB Airport Road and will also be covering up Manipal Northside Hospital, Malleshwaram and also the Dr Malathi Manipal Hospital, Jayanagar. I was born and brought up in Manipal and I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate education (MS and DNB) in Orthopaedics at KMC Manipal. I then pursued my career into spine surgery by completing a 2-year structured fellowship of the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi (FNB-Spine Surgery) at Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore. I had my training in navigated spine surgery as well at Coimbatore. I further went on to do the prestigious clinical fellowship in spinal deformity surgery at Hong Kong. I also have got trained in minimally invasive spine surgery at Singapore and Hong Kong. I had visited most of the centres of excellence in spine surgery in the South East Asia (Korea, Thailand, Taiwan & Singapore).
